Arbitrator, Mediator & Investigator
Diane is a mediator, arbitrator and investigator specializing in labour and employment disputes, including rights-based grievances, collective bargaining, and health and safety and human rights complaints and investigations.
Diane’s experience spans a wide range of sectors including healthcare, education,
manufacturing, municipal services, construction, transportation, hospitality and retail.
Diane began her career in labour relations over 30 years ago. Diane practiced exclusively in the areas labour and employment law from 1988 until she was appointed to the Ontario Labour Relations Board as a Vice-Chair in 1994 – 2002. In 2002 Diane returned to the practice of law in a boutique labour law firm. In 2008 Diane was appointed Alternate Chair of the Ontario Labour Relations Board and Chair of the Pay Equity Hearings Tribunal. Later, Diane served as the Interim Chair of the OLRB. Since 2013, Diane has worked exclusively as a private mediator, arbitrator and investigator in both the federal and provincial sectors and has mediated, investigated and arbitrated hundreds of cases.
Currently, Diane is the Secretary Treasurer of the Ontario Labour-Management Arbitrators’ Association, is on the Ontario Minister’s list of approved Arbitrators, is an arbitrator on the Grievance Settlement Board, and is an approved grievance arbitrator and unjust dismissal
adjudicator under the Canada Labour Code. Diane is a member of the Ontario Labour-Management Arbitrators’ Association and the Ontario Bar Association (Labour & Employment Law Section).
